Bannerghatta National Park



Bannerghatta National Park, near BangaloreKarnataka, was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974. In 2002 a portion of the park, became a biological reserve, the Bannerghatta Biological Park. It is a popular tourist destination with a zoo, a pet corner, an animal rescue centre, a butterfly enclosure, an aquarium, a snake house and a safari park. There are ancient temples in the park for worship and it is a destination for trekking and hiking  Within the national park area are six rural villages enclosed within three large enclosures for sheep and cattle farming. The Bannerghatta National Park  is also famous for its Safari : there is Jeep Safari , Elephant Safari and Jungle Safari.
Bannerghatta Natioal Park has got one of the best wild life collection and is only 90 mins travel from the city bus stand.
Spread over 25, 000 acre, the national park is located about 22 km south of Bangalore in the hills of the Anekal .

There are number of choices of the visitors , there is reptile park , aquarium , butterfly enclosure and it has one of the best wild life collection , the best of all is the Jungle Safari.
Due to all these reasons and  beautiful scenery  , Bannerghatta national park has become one of  the best places to visit in Bengaluru.
