Gandhi Krishi Vighnana Kendra

Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra, popularly called 
as GKVK is the main campus of the premier farm University of India, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. The University was established in in 1965, The University's main campus was situated in a place called as Hebbal and that had become a landmark in Bangalore. A decade later, for reasons of expansion, main campus of the University was relocated to a place opposite a a landmark known as Jakkur Aerodrome. The new campus was named after the father of the country and was called as Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra and now is popularly known as GKVK Campus.The campus is just a couple of Kilometers away from Hebbal off the Bangalore' s International Airport Road.


Bannerghatta National Park

Bannerghatta National Park, near BangaloreKarnataka, was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974. In 2002 a portion of the park, became a biological reserve, the Bannerghatta Biological Park. It is a popular tourist destination with a zoo, a pet corner, an animal rescue centre, a butterfly enclosure, an aquarium, a snake house and a safari park. There are ancient temples in the park for worship and it is a destination for trekking and hiking  Within the national park area are six rural villages enclosed within three large enclosures for sheep and cattle farming. The Bannerghatta National Park  is also famous for its Safari : there is Jeep Safari , Elephant Safari and Jungle Safari.

Nandi Temple

Dodda Basavana Gudi (the Nandhi Temple) is situated in Bull Temple Road, Basavanagudi, area of South Bangalore, part of the largest city of the Indian state of Karnataka. The Hindu temple is inside a park called Bugle Rock.

The bull referred to is a sacred Hindu demi-god, known as Nandi; Nandi is a close devotee and attendant of Shiva. Dodda Basavana Gudi is said to be the biggest temple to Nandi in the world. The stone cult image of Nandi is continually covered with new layers of butter, benne in the local language of Kannada. There is a cult image of the elephant-headed Hindu deity son of shiva Ganesha close by.

The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum

The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum,(VITM), India. a constituent unit of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, was established in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya. The building, with a built up area of 4000 m2, was constructed in the Cubbon Park, housing various scientific experiments and engines, which was opened by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14 July 1962. The first gallery set up at VITM on the theme ‘Electricity” was opened to the public on 27 July 1965.

Vidhana Soudha

The Vidhana Soudha located in Bengaluru, is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka It is an imposing building, constructed in a style sometimes described as Mysore Neo-Dravidian, and incorporates elements of Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian styles. The construction was completed in 1956.Kengal Hanumanthaiah is credited with the conception and construction of the Vidhana Soudha.The foundation stone was laid by the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, on July 13, 1951.
